your emotional intelligence by understanding what really motivates
people. You’ll learn new ways to foster awareness, deepen your
connections, and respond empathically, even when you are triggered.
Heighten your awareness of feelings and needs, so you can instantly
recognize people’s needs in every moment. Discover new ways to be
present and connect to your core aliveness, so that you speak from the
heart. This workshop is based on the work of Marshall Rosenberg, author
of Nonviolent Communication.

“Be the change you wish to see in the world.” - Gandhi

emotions; Honoring needs and values; Connecting energetically; Engaging
heart, soul and spirit; Creating space for authentic expression;
Embracing polarities and desire for wholeness; Connecting with what
matters most.

Awareness
– Reading body language, voice, affect, non-verbals; Riding the waves
of energy; Resonating with aliveness, life force, power; Tapping
intuition, inner knowing, multiple sources of wisdom; Staying with what
is present, here and now; Engaging fully with the process; Awakening to
whatever is evolving.

Desire
– Exploring natural openings; Paying attention to shift, insights,

Trainer(s):

Location(s)

Paddington
London, LND

Complete a 2 day foundation training in NVC, or equivalent in terms of hours with a NVC trainer.

Course Description:
This is a new regular NVC training drop-in evening that I am starting in
London.
It will be held once every 4 weeks.  The content will include a combination of
introducing further elements of the NVC process, working with live issues that
participants bring, and practice of NVC.
  The venue is at
Beauchamp Lodge at Little Venice, which we have used for trainings many times
over the past year.  It is a lovely building, overlooking the
canal.
  I
am initially running these evenings on Fridays.  The first evening will
be on Friday 31st October, and the second on Friday 28th November.  I
am imagining that Fridays are not ideal, but there was very limited
availability of rooms at the venue.  We can see how it goes - if there
is a strong preference for another evening, I will see if we can swap
it or find another venue.  Contact me to let me know if you intend to
come.  Contact me also if you are interested in coming, but Fridays
don't suit you.

Please note that you need to have completed a 2 day foundation training
or equivalent before attending, as this is an intermediate training.

Location(s)

Anam Cara

Preparation:

Reading Marshall Rosenberg's Nonviolent Communication would be a valuable preperation for this weekend, but this is a recommendation not a requirement.

Contact Person:
Course Description:

This workshop will be an introduction to Nonviolent Communication (NVC) a simple yet powerful "language of compassion" developed by Marshall B. Rosenberg Ph.D and currently practiced in over 65 countries worldwide.

  • NVC supports you to:
  • Express yourself fully without triggering hostility or withdrawal
  • Hear others compassionately
  • Transform potential conflicts into peaceful dialogues
  • Make clear requests instead of vague demands
  • Give clear and supportive feedback
  • Develop self-awareness and self-compassion
  • Turn your "inner critic" into a source of positive support

Through its emphasis on deep listening - to ourselves and to others - NVC fosters respect, attentiveness and empathy, and engenders a mutual desire to give from the heart. As we learn NVC we take more responsibility for our experience and exercise more fully the power we have to create the kind of world we wish to live in.

Leo Sofer has been learning and teaching NVC since 1999. He lives in Findhorn, is married and has two small children.
